Privacy Policy

What Stream Suite is
Stream Suite is a personal application that reads live chat from the
streaming platforms its operator broadcasts on, and displays that chat
on screen during a broadcast. It runs on the operator's own computer.
It has no other users and no public sign-up.
What it accesses
With your authorisation, Stream Suite reads:
- Live chat messages posted in the operator's own live streams, including the author's public display name, badges and name colour.
- Basic channel information for the operator's own account, used to locate the active broadcast and its chat.
It requests read-only access. It does not post, delete, or modify anything
on any connected account.
Where data goes
- Chat messages are held in memory only, as a short rolling buffer, so overlays can redraw after a scene change. They are not written to disk and not retained after the application stops.
- Access tokens are stored locally on the operator's computer, in a file readable only by that user account. They are never transmitted anywhere except back to the platform that issued them.
- Nothing is sent to any third party. There is no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no external server. Chat data travels from the platform to one computer and no further.
What is shown publicly
Chat messages may be displayed on screen during a live broadcast — this is
the purpose of the application. Only messages already posted publicly in a
live chat are shown. Nothing private is ever revealed, and no message is
stored after the broadcast.
Revoking access
Access granted to Stream Suite can be revoked at any time from the relevant
platform's account settings. For Google accounts this is at
myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Revoking access immediately stops all further reading.
Google user data
Stream Suite's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the
Google API Services User Data Policy,
including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to
display live chat during a broadcast, is never sold or transferred, and is
never used for advertising.
